Office not restoring after new hard drive

I had to install a new hard drive and I backed up everything on my external
hard drive. Now when I open the restored file and try to open excel or word
or anything I get this message: " The application has failed to start because
the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may
fix this problem" Problem is, I dont have the program because I ordered it
through the student experience and therefore it was in an email. I have all
of the files- there are like 1000 of them in the folder. Any suggestions
would be helpful!

You have to reinstall, you can't do do a backup and copy files.

Contact Digital River and see if they can help you. I doubt it will be free.
