Office on a 2nd computer?

I bought Microsoft Office Professional 2007 preinstalled on my Lenovo
ThinkPad. I also have an Acer Netbook computer with a preinstalled trial
version of Microsoft Office, which is about to expire. Is it possible to use
the Office version I purchased on more than one computer so that I can insert
the product key in the Acer version or am I licensed to use the product on
only one computer?

Hi SleeperGirl,

The license terms for Microsoft Office Professional 2007 allow you to install it onto both one desktop PC and one laptop, or two
laptops.

Generally speaking:
• If it is a retail-box copy, then the software is licensed for
installation on one primary computer and one portable computer both
owned by you.
• If it is a preinstalled (OEM) copy that comes with a new computer,
then the software is licensed for installation only on the computer that
the software came with, and cannot be transferred to or installed on any
other computer.

To see how many computers your particular copy of Office 2007
Professional is legally licensed for installation on, read Section 2
"Installation and Use Rights" of your Office 2007 Software License
Terms, which you can access by starting Word 2007 and clicking on Office
Button | Word Options | Resources | About | View the Microsoft Software
License Terms.
