Office/Outlook 2003 on win xp sp2

Good Morning --
When I try to open Outlook 2003, I receive the message Outlook failed to
start correctly last time. Starting Outlook in safe mode will help you
correct or isolate a startup problem in order to successfully start the
program. Do you want to start Outlook in safe mode? I have answered Yes to
this, but Outlook just sits there with a Configuring Outlook (migrate account
settings, migrating preferences, etc) message box. I have been using Outlook
2003 for a month or so without issue until this started yesterday. I also
received the Detect and Repair message as well and said yes to it to no
avail. How do I fix this problem?

Thanks for your help!

I was doing support last time for Office/Outlook. If Milly's solution doesn't
work, you might want to create a new user profile on your machine. Last time,
outlook hanged during setting up the configuration and only by making a new
user profile fix the problem. Oddly enough, it only occured on 1-2 PCs out of
1000. Somehow, the user profile got corrupted.

Thank you both for your assistance. I ended up removing and reinstalling the
software (prior to viewing your responses).

Have a great day!
