Step 1: You cannot.

What else do you need to know? AOL uses there own format for email and that
format is not compatible with Outlook.

Perhaps you should consider using a real ISP vice AOL HELL.

But that is your option.

Hi, Aaron here. I am having a problem much the same, I do believe. So... AOL
told me they dont support Office Outlook 03. But I see your message, and now
I am wondering. I can send email just fine through my Outlook. To recieve
them, I have to log into AOL, see if I have mail, then I can read my mail on
AOL. I have the IMAP crap plugged in -just like AOL told me. Usually there is
a "send test mail" button, but not for my AOL preset. Is it in my best
interest to say farewell to AOL, or can you help me? I like my AOL, but this
crap is driving me insane. I mainly want to use my Office Outlook 03 to send
and recieve my mail, as I gather you did/do too. Please help if you can!!!
Thanks

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, aaronuws asked:

Hi, I made the mistake of having AOL as my Internet provider too. I got the
60 day free trial of Office but I can't get from AOL to my computer. The
download status box says the download is complete, but my in my computer
search engine can't find it so that I can open Office and enter my 25 digit
code. I am switching to another provider on Wednesday, but in the mean time
I need to get into Office. I really need to open some excel files to do an
assignment due Monday. Thanks

Not sure if this is the right thread, but..
I have Outlook 2003 and am having issues RECEIVING emails from friends with
AO: accounts. Is there something I need to do (or even can do) to remedy the
issue?
