Do you base all you purchasing decisions on advertising? I certainly don't. I read the packaging to see how much fat per serving the item contains, what programs are included, what medications to not mix...
If all one relies on is Ads for their purchasing decisions, they get what they deserve.

After furious head scratching, tlvp asked:
| The original poster complained (emphasis added by me):
|
|| It would be nice if Microsoft included this information IN THEIR ADS.
|
| Not on "the box at retail," not on "the pages at Microsoft.com/
| office ,"
| not wherever else one might be able to find that info, but "in their
| ads."
|
| Not an unreasonable gripe, in my estimation.
|
|| "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]"
||
||| It very clearly states what is and is not included with each
||| version if you look at the box at retail, examine the included
||| programs if buying from an on-line seller, or if you had consulted
||| the pages at Microsoft.com/office about the different product
||| versions and what is included. The information is out there - it
||| is not Microsoft's responsibility to remind you to check.
||
|| Surely you're not suggesting that people read the box or read the
|| requirements or read the EULA or RTFM, or do any research at all, are
|| you?
||
|| It's SOOOooooooo much easier to find out you've done something stupid
|| and then come here and blame Microsoft..... <sigh>
