I have installed on my computer MS Office 2003 professional edition (SP2),
and I want to add Outlook (not currently installed). When I try to run the
installation CD, I get the following:
Error Message: "Another version of this product is already installed.
Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the
existing version of this product. use Add/Remove Programs on the Control
Panel."
I get the same message when I try to add features in the add-remove
programs in the control panel.
The original load is presumably the same thing - MS Office 2003 professional
edition. Although it is an early version without the updates, it should work.
I do not want to uninstall the existing version since it has been heavily
customized, and it also appears that the file and settings transfer feature
is not present as well.
How do I force the program to install just Outlook? Or alternatively, how
do I install the file and settings transfer feature?
Please help.
By the way, I did post this to the Outlook group, but did not get helpful
responses
