Office Outlook Problem

Hal

Hi folks. Appreciate any help in advance.

I use Office 2003 Outlook. Bought a new computer. Have friends who needed my
old one. I uninstalled my office program ( and much else) before sending it
to them.

They installed THEIR edition of Office 2003 on it tonight. When they opened
it to set up their email , they receieved popup after popup saying Outlook
could not connect with MY email files. They were able to get their email
installed and going, but the popups keep coming. ( I can get the precise
language of them to post later..this all happening on the fly...).

Their email is functioning fine, but they just want to get rid of the
incessant popups...get Outlook to stop worrying about my email files.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. This is a problem I did not anticipate.

You would have been better of by clean installing Win, or using the recovery
cd to put it back to factory state.
As it is the PC has remnants of your settings scattered amongst the various
files and registry entries.

Amen, DL! Time was an issue and I had to ship it 1700 miles in a hurry....but
there is no question whatseoever that you are correct. Live and Learn (I
hope).
