Office Programming Language

A good friend asked me today what the programming language that is used for
MS Office. I looked all over the Internet and asked several people in the
tech department where I work, and I had no luck in finding the answer.

If anyone knows the answer, please reply. Thanks.

I'm not sure what you want here but the programming language for
macros is VBA but I think the actual programming of the components is
mainly done with C. I can ask if they use C++ nowadays.
