Office Programs Interchangeable?

Does anyone have a full list of which office programs can be
imported/exported into other office programs? And what those specific
capabilities are? For example, I know that you can do a mail merge in Word
from an Access database.

Import/Export? if thats what you really mean Excell & Access have
import/export capabilities
A merge is neither, you can start a merge from Word or Outlook and it can
use data from Excel or Access

I don't know if import/export is the right term. I need to know how I can
work interchangeably with all of the office programs.

Use the lowest common denominator rule. Whatever two programs you are
talking about, you will need to determine that file format which is
common and use that. If that doesn't answer your question, please review
and restate it in discrete terms.

After furious head scratching, Gina asked:

All of the Office applications can be integrated with each other. Even
something as simple as copy/paste between the applications provides
integration.
