Office Save errors

I have a user that has an Office Suite SAVE issue. When he saves anything to
his network sub-folder, it also creates a saved vesion on the network root.
Oddly enough, it also saves a shortcut to the folder that he saved the
original to. HELP!!

I've searched past posts trying to find previous discussions on this
but I don't think it was Symantec - it was one I never heard of
before.

But another thought comes to mind, does have the correct permissions
set for his local drive??

Yes. Permissions look right. The problem started from 'out of the blue" It's
funny because if he saves things to his C: drive, no problems. Once he saves
to his network sub-folder, the problem starts...but only on his machine. If I
log him in at another machine and go through the process, everything is fine.

The fact he can save the files correctly locally does suggest a
network issue rather than an Office issue. Have you tried posting to a
newsgroup specific to the network you are using?

I have not. My initial thought that it was an Office issue because it only
seemed to affect Word, Excel,Access, and PP docs. I'm still not sure whether
it's a network or XP issue. Thanks for the help.

Thanks. The only thing I don't understand is why it's happening all of a
sudden, and why just him? Everone has the same AV configuration. You would
think it would affect everyone.
