Office SBS Licence question

OK - the license on my VAIO has expired and locked me out of almost all
Outlook functionality - can't send mail etc.

I can convert to the full product by purchasing online, but don't really
need all the components i.e. Publisher.

If I purchase standard office 2003 instead of the SBS version, can I enter
that key where I am being prompted for the SBS key? - and will standard
office then be installed 'over' the existing verison?

cheers

Purchase the edition you need. Back up all of your important files.
Uninstall the trial version. Install your new edition.

great - cheers. Presumably if I install Office 2003 on top of the trial
version, the new version of outlook will inherit the properties of the
previous version?

If you uninstall it without saving your settings, no. You can check the
archives for how to save your settings. If you don't uninstall the trial
version first, you could run into problems. (I've seen this happen way too
often.)

The trai version is standard. SBS does not come in a trial version. Did
you activate your software?

OK - I'm having real problems here:

I need to be absolutely sure that the pst files will open when I install
Office.

Becuse I'm using Outlook 2003 there are no physical 'archives', so I can't
simply save the PST's to CD. Increadibly, because the trial version I'm using
has expired, it won't let me export files.

I am using rhe backup utility, which allows me to save files to CD, but when
attempting to open from another machine using 2003, I am told I 'don't have
permissions to open the file'...

How do I ensure that that PST's will restore after installing Outlook 2003?

cheers

stating 'You copy of Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003 trial
edition expired on 30 June 2006. In this state, many features of the product
and unavailable intil you convert to the full product.'
