onenote 2007 search stopped working (and so did office mail search).

Other people have complained about that. You can try rebuilding the
whole index by going into Control Panel, Indexing Service. I think under
Advanced is the rebuild button.
It seems that there are still bugs in the indexing service and that this
can happen...
