Office Serial/liscense Number

I have an about 6-7 year old business lap top that I am going to get rid of.
It has the complete office suite on it. I want to erase the serial numbers
or blank it out. I have tried searching in the registry, but can't find
where the serial number is located for Office. Can someone help so I can
feel safe about getting rid of this? Thanks,

If concerned about drive contents simply restore the operating system to
original(format and overwrite the drive contents)

Because you're going to get rid of it - reformat the system first. Make sure
that all of your data is gone.

You'd be surprised at the amount of information that gathers on you PC
that identity thieves could use. Whenever I decommission a PC (or
harddrive), I use something like DriveCleanser to erase everything on
the drives and make it really hard to recover anything useful. To a
determined hacker, simply reformatting the drive leaves a lot that can
be recovered using easily available tools.

To me changing the serial number would be simpler, thanks

I think you might want to re-evaluate the contents of that drive, and
the concerns you have about whats on it.
