office shortcut toolbar won't open

when I start computer. Box is checked to do so. Just got new computer, have
windows XP and office 2002. Worked on my Dell that we just "retired".

Hi Larry,

If the MS Office shortcut bar optional feature is installed you should be able to start it from Start=>Run and entering
MSOffice.exe
and then resetting the startup behavior.

One of the reasons it was retired after Office XP/2002 is that it wouldn't always win the 'keep on top' trys with other apps that
wanted the same thing :) If the method above works you may want to keep a shortcut avaialable on the desktop or in your start menu
to pop it up manually when needed.
