office startup problem as domain user

After installing Office 2000 Pro as local administrator,
then loggin on as a Windows Server 2003 domain user (even
with domain admin rights) Office asks for Office CD
(data1.msi) on original path (D:\). When CD is provided
it will not update the installation for that user and
will ask for CD again next time I try to run the Office
application.
This may a domain access right issue, so I will post a
similar message under server 2003 heading.
