Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003

My daughter bought the above software and she noticed
after getting it home that she needs Windows 2000 or XP
to load this but she only has Windows 98. Will this
absolutely not load on Windows 98. What does she need to
buy for her computer. She is a student and wants the
Student/Teacher version obviously since it is less
expensive. Thanks to anybody who can answer my questions.

The package lists the operating systems that can run Office 2003 and only
2000 (SP-3) and XP are listed. She will have to either purchase 2000 or XP
upgrade, and I don't think the retails stores are selling 2000 anymore.

Don't they teach kids to *READ* anymore?! It states quite clearly that 2000
or XP is required.

Will it absolutely not load on 98? Read the box.

What does she need to buy for her computer? I think even you can answer
that....

I understand that Office 2003 is for Windows 200 or Windows XP OR LATER. Is ME later, I forget?

Windows ME is an earlier version. You will need: Windows 2000 SP-3, Windows XP Home or Windows XP Pro to run any version of Office 2003

I can't run it at all on ME

Where could I get a copy of Office that would run on ME
It is only being used by my wife for school,,don't want to invest a lot.

No, it will NOT run on Windows ME. You can run Office XP or earlier on
Windows ME, just not Office 2003 or later. You can purchase a copy at
retail or amazon.com or another e-tailer. If your wife qualifies, you can
get a copy of Office Standard for Students and Teachers.

Office 2003 will not run on ME
You can buy Office XP Student/Teachers version if you qualify, or any version of Office XP
Amazon.com may be a good place to find these.
