Office Student & Teacher Version. Install On New Vista Premium OS

J

JESwan

Just about ready to purchase a new laptop for work (Teacher)
I have an old XP Pro laptop with the Office 2003 running.
Will Office 2003 Student and Teacher edition install and run on the Vista
Home Premium OS?
Thanks,
Sandy Swan

Yes, it will.

Side note: if you plan to take your laptop to your school and connect it
to their LAN, check with your school's tech support before you purchase
the Home Premium version of Vista. That version cannot connect to a domain.

What version does, as I expect to do that just as I did with XP Pro..
Thanks for the side note

Either "Business", "Ultimate", or "Enterprise" will. But, again, please
check with your school's tech support before spending the extra money
(they cost more than Home Premium) to make sure connecting to a domain
is required.

Thanks I am checking now.. It seem like the upgrade to Vista Business is the
same as with XP to XP Pro.. worth the $'s and recommended.
I looked up the Office 2003 Student and Teachers Edition of 2003 on line and
it notes that any 'Future OS'... That would be the Vista* series..
I'll hold off for a while and hope someone from MS can give me a confirmed
resonse but it looks to be compatiaible...
Thanks for the feedback..

There won't likely be anyone from MS around here unless they just happen
to stop by on their own time, this is strictly a user-to-user newsgroup.

I didn't mean to cause confusion. Office 2003 Student and Teacher is
compatible with *all* versions of Vista.

I was just cautioning about a separate issue regarding the version of
Vista and connecting to a domain. It's not at all related to Office.
