to purchase office, do i purchase the upgrade or full ?

If you have a previous version of Mac Office (98, 01, v.X), then you can
purchase the upgrade version. Otherwise you'll need the full one.

Note that before you install the new version, you should use the Remove
Office application to remove Test Drive. Failure to do so will cause
myriad problems!
