The OP cannot install another trial as the one he had expired. that is
the
root of the problem.

Hi- The free trial expired with Outlook. I have ordered Office 2007
professional through work. It will not be here for 15 days. Can I convert
e-mail program from Outlook to Outlook express in the interim? Will I
lose
current e-mail or will it transfer over?
Thank you for any guidance....
Assume that your trial version of Outlook was Outlook 2007.
Outlook and Outlook Express have different email programs. In the past
you
could import your mail account settings from Outlook to Outlook Express
{File, Import, Mail Account Setting}. Outlook 2007 has a different
personnel file format than prior versions. Since Outlook Express is no
longer being updated for compatibility {there is a IE 7 but no OE 7}, your
Outlook 2007 account settings may not import to Outlook Express. At worst,
to use Outlook Express as your temporary email program, you need create a
new mail account in Outlook Express {Tools, Accounts} and enter the same
ISP
information that you entered in Outlook 2007.
You will not be able to access your past email {in the Outlook 2007
personnel file: *.pst} until you have a functional installation of Outlook
2007. Suggest that you uninstall the trial version of Outlook 2007 {after
trying to transfer mail account settings}. Doing so, will not delete your
*.pst data file. When you install Office 2007, you can access your prior
emails.
