Office Trial Pack & its policy

R

Rayees

I need the following clarification.

Scenario:
----------
I have few hundreds of machines connected in my production network. In
general we use MS office standard. We use Paper license(without SA). There
are few users who needs either a latest version of MS office. There are few
users who wants MS Office Proffessional. Since there is a cost impact we
download the demo version which is valid for 60 days and install the same in
the machine which is connected to production network. After the trial period
based on the need we will buy the software.

Question:
-----------

Can I install the software as told above in the production network. What
Microsoft licensing policy say about this. Please clarify

Regards
Rayees

Rayees,

Since this is a peer support group and not officially staffed by Microsoft
employees, I'd not rely too heavily on the licensing advice posted here, and
I'd certainly not rely on it be in any way legally binding (though it's
often quite helpful).

For this type of an inquiry, I'd recommend you call Microsoft and ask to
speak to a licensing specialist.
