office ultimate wont uninstall

My Outlook and word have both stopped working. (My wife dropped the laptop)
Everything else works fine. I cannot run setup from the installation media
(it fails) I cannot change the office instalation. Also it wont uninstall.

Any ideas? TIA

Details would be nice. "It fails" covers a lot of ground, and we can't see
what is happening there.
