Office Update is unable to check for Updates - Office 2k

Hi All,

I went to the Office Update site this morning and it automatically
downloaded Version 1.1 of the update software. Following this I get sent to
the following error page:-

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX010404541033.aspx

It states a number of different reasons why it may not work but I don't
think any of the reasons apply to me.

Has anyone experienced similar problems with Office 2k and how do I
uninstall V1.1 of the Office Update software.

You could try to download this removal tool

If you feel confidence working inside the registry do the following ;
Goto HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and remove
the <whatever-KB/Q> key

Use the following tool to meke sure your PC is not infected
