I just ran Office Update, and it indicates that I need the following updates:
REQUIRED UPDATES
Security Update for Word 2000 (KB934392)
Security Update for Excel 2000 (KB934447)
Security Update for Office 2000 (KB934526)
Security Update for Outlook 2000 (KB921593)

However, all my Office products are 2003 except for Access (which is 2000,
but is not mentioned in the updates list).

Why is it telling me that I need to install these updates?

Thank you! The referred article answered my question. I can't remove Office
2000 because I still use Access 2000, so I'll just have to ignore the updates.

Thanks again,
Debbie

Hi Debbie,

If you have Office 2000 installed to use Access 2000 is there a reason to not accept the updates rather than ignore them?
The updates are for the whole product rather than just specific features or apps currently in use.

The updates suggested were for specific 2000 applications (e.g. Word, Excel,
etc.), all of which I have in the 2003 version. I don't see how I would need
the updates (since I don't use the 2000 version of those app's), and I'm a
little leery of installing the updates lest they somehow impact the 2003
app's.
