Yesterday I was having a problem with Word freezing up
when I tried to cut & paste a graphic object. I sent a
error report to Microsoft and recieved a suggestion to
download updates for my office programs. The list of
updates that I downloaded and installed is at the end of
this post. Today I wanted to continue working on a
document and I got the following message when I attempted
to open it: "Word cannot open this document template
(C:\ProgramFiles\...\PDF Maker.dot)". I click OK and
another message tells me my document is unavailable.
Word opens without and document open. When I try to close
Word I get the message "The file Normal already exists.
Do you want to replace the existing file?" If I click No
or Cancle the program will not close. If I click Yes, it
closes. I wanted to take this issue directly to
Microsoft since it seems their updates caused my problem,
but this is as close as I could get. I would appreciate
any help I can get.
