Office Updates

I am not able to update Office 2000 Professional on about half the 2000/XP
client network. Microsoft gives list of things to check make sure all is ok.
Permissions are fine since being run from Administrator. Also not able to
uninstall Office and reinstall. Error message again says I do not have
permission or can not find source. Anybody have any ideas. I have already
tried to reregister with no luck.

I installed the latest version of Windows Installer, 3.1, but received the
same error. They were MsiInstaller 1004, then 11708 and 1004 again. The
errors say the following:

I had a similar problem. The problem is caused by corruption in the
Registry.

Look at MS Knowledge Base Article 295823.

It fixed all my problems.
