Office Versions

I have a few machines in our company that are reporting Office 2003 version
11.0.7969.0 when I do a query on SMS. What version of Office 2003 is this? I
tried checking it on the Microsoft website but could not find any information
on this. Our company is just starting to migrate from Office 2000 to Office
2003 sp1.

Office 2003 with Service Pack 2. (SP2 was released right at the end of
Sept. Also note that version numbers on Help > About <product> will show a
different number.)

I thought sp2 version starts with 11.0.65xx.x, at least that's what it says
on the microsoft website when I was trying to do some research.

Gotcha, and that is why I said the actual products will show different
numbers. The version number is acquired via the Add/Remove applet. (Click
on the "click here for support information" link to see it.)
