Office Word 2003

I have just installed Office 2003 Professional and updated all the software
using live update. When I try to copy pictures from the internet, whether
using Internet Explorer or AOL, and try to paste the picture into Word, all I
get is an hour glass that never goes away. However I can use other software
and when checking the status of Word using Task Master, it shows Word as
running OK and the CPU is idle most of the time. I ahve plenty of memory and
had no problem doing this with my priori version of Word 97. What could be my
problem?

Word 2003 unexpectedly quits, and you receive an error message when you paste text that is from a Web page to a Word 2003 document

Thank you for the link however 1) Word does not quit and I do not get an
error message, just an hour glass and 2) I did follow the work around and
cleared the "show paste options buttons" but this did not fix the problem. Do
you have another suggestion?

It looks like you may have a firewall conflict. Try coming off line and
closing down your fiewall before pasting. If that does the trick, then look
to reconfiguring your firewall.

Hope this helps,

Ed
