Hi there,
I've written a Word add-in for Office XP using VS .net
2003 on WinXP. I'm now trying to test it on office 2000
(on another machine running Win2K), but can't get it to
work properly.
When I ran Word 2000 it just hung and when killed came up
with an error message saying it couldn't find the file I
was opening.
I have since deleted the MSWORD.OLB from my office xp
directory and copied MSWORD9.OLB from my office 2000
install and renamed it to MSWORD.OLB, and then rebuilt the
project.
The program continues to run as expected on office xp, but
still doesn't quite work on office 2000, although it does
appear to have some of the functionality I require, and
doesn't hang any more.
Could someone tell me the proper way to make my add-in
compatible with office 2000?
