I have set up a junk mail rule which filters out mail containing all the
usual junk mail words and puts them into my delete items folder. By and
large it seems to do the job fairly well. (Occasionally it sends mail to my
junk mail folder but I can always delete them from there and doing this to
one or two pieces of mail a week is not much of an annoyance)
But occasionally it sends me the warning that it cannot delete the mail from
my inbox
Does anyone know why it would do this on some occasions and not others? The
rule seems to have worked for a year or so but suddenly gave me this message
a week or so ago. It then worked for a week and gave it again overnight,
(stopping receipt of all mail thereafter until I OK'ed the screen telling me
this and cycled around sending/receiving again) last night. The rule seems
to be working today.
