Office XP - changing Registered Owner

C

Coops

Following a problem with my PC, I completely reinstalled
it. However, when I installed Office XP Professional, I
mistyped my name in the regsitered owner field. I would
like to correct it and so tried uninstalling and
reinstalling but instead of asking for the details, it
simply picked them up from the previous settings.
However, I wasn't prompted to reboot after the uninstall
and so simply installed the product again without
rebooting -maybe I should have!!

I found a registry value, relating to the Office
installation, containing the incorrect name entry and so
changed it but still when I start an Office application my
incorrectly spelt name appears!!

I thought the activation wizard might allow me to change
it but I can't start it since all products are already
activated.

How can I change the registered owner details?

Thanks,
Dave.

Hi Dave,

You can change the name through the User Info
tab in Tools=>Options in Word.
