Office XP Installation

P

Peter Johnson

I have just installed Office XP.All seemed to go well,
but I am encountering a problem in accessing the MS Word
component.

When I try to get into the program a message appears:
"C:program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10
\STARTUP\TbRun97.dot contains macros.
Macros can contain viruses. It is always safe to disable
macros but if they are legitimate you may lose some
functionality"

When I select "enable macros" from the dialogue box I
receive another message:
"The Create Adobe PDF monitor cannot be found. Please
reinstall Create Adobe PDF"

Where do I go from here. Help!!

PS my computing expertise is very limited.

Hi, Peter,

Do you use Adobe Acrobat Writer? If so, you should re-install it. If not,
uninstall it using the Windows Control Panel's "Add/Remove Programs" applet.
You may also want to remove Adobe files from that folder (c:\program
files\microsoft office\office 10\startup\) if you're still getting errors.

Does that help?
