Office XP Installation

Morning all,

I am trying to install Office XP Small Business on my XP system but each
time I try I am getting the following error message which is not covered on
the MS site as an Office XP problem?

Error Message: "This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the
patch exists and that you can access it, or contact application vendor to
verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package."

I have searched everywhere for it but I cannot find anything, can anyone
here help me please?

Thanks for looking DL but it does not answer my problem which is with XP. I
have found many pieces in the KB but none of them are pertenent to Office XP.

I appreiciate you taking the trouble to look though.

Hi Bren,

Remove the following registry keys

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office

and then reinstall Office XP
