office xp interactive training step by step

Whenever I try to access Office XP Interactive Training
Step By Step I get the message "Unable to open database"
and then a message that Internet Explorer has encountered
an error OLEDB and now has to shut down. I am running
Windows XP Professional on a stand-alone computer, Office
XP Interactive Training Step By Step in installed on my
hard drive. Please help me as this is very vexing problem
because there then appears a mesage box explaining that
there is an automatic update that contains a fix for the
problem I'm experiencing and I apply it, but thus far the
problem persists.
