Office XP Outlook contacts

I imported my contacts from outlook express without a
hitch it seemed. If I open the Contact Folder by itself,
all of my data is there. But, when trying to compose a
message and I use (TO) button or the (CC) button, the
contact box shows up empty. Can not understand this.
Anybody out there have ideas? Thank you in advance.

Add the Outlook Address Book service to your profile. ClickTools>E-mail
Accounts>View or change existing directories or address books>Next. If
Outlook Address Book is there, remove it and restart Outlook. Then go back
to this point and add it in again. FInally, right-click on Contacts, choose
Properties,, then the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the "Show this folder
and as an e-mail address book" box.
