Office XP Pro Academic Upgrade

D

David Martin

I own the full version of Office 2000 Pro. Does this
qualify for installation of the Office XP Pro Academic
Upgrade version. I searched the KB and Google, but could
not find the answer.

Thanks,

David

Hi, David,

If you don't find what you need here:

Check Upgrade Eligibility:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/howtobuy/upgrading.asp

then for licensing information, I'd contact Microsoft directly. Call
1-800-426-9400, Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Pacific time)
and ask to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist. Worldwide
customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites to find
contact information in their locations.

I've called them and have had good luck speaking with a real person for
free.

I don't think there is an Academic Upgrade version, just the full version
(not that it matters, it will upgrade his existing install). Alternatively
he could just buy the retail Upgrade for which the academic version of 2000
will qualify.
