Office XP Pro Install Erro 1402

Ok I am sure you have had this question before but I cannot find a good
answer for it anywhere.

I am installing a legal copy of Office XP Pro onto my XP home system. I have
Office 2000 on there now. And it works fine.

At some point in the install of Office XP Pro it stops at
Registering program identifiers
ProgID: MSOHelp.HtmlHelp

Then another window pops up and says
Error 1402 Setup cannot poen the registery key
UNKNOWN\MsoHELP.htmlHelp\CLSID. Veryify..blah blah blah

I am the administrator, I have used all spyware removers, virus scans and so
forth and the system is clean.

Why is this doing this and how do I fix it?

Is it safe to assume that no one knows how to answer this question? Is there
anyone who can tell where I might even go for help?

Try typing the entire error message into Google (correct the typos first):

Error 1402 Setup cannot open the registry key
