Office XP Pro install--Outlook can't find PSTPRX.DLL

H

Harold W. Stanley

Install of Office XP Pro successful, but when I start up
Outlook and attempt to open "Outlook Today - [Personal
Folders] I get this error message: "Unable to display the
folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified
folder location. The .DLL file for the information service
could not be found. MAPI was unable to load the
information service PSTPRX.DLL. Be sure the service is
correctly installed and configured."

I can load other personal folders by pointing to
other "Outlook.pst" files but this default personal folder
won't work or give way to the others.

Thanks for help.

This often happens when users switch between versions. If you have not
switched but have done a clean install, the file probably does not exist on
your system.

| There is no such file on my system either and still I don't have an
| problems. Are you sure you want MAPI client? Could it not be POP
| client?
|
| I did a complete search of my system and didn't find anything by the
| name of: PSTPRX.DLL.
|
| Sorry can't help on this but Milly can I am sure! Milly, where are you?
