Office XP re-install registered to another computer

My Office XP was missing a DLL and I couldn't get it
properly re-installed. We erased the hard drive and
started all over. When we re-installed Windows XP, it
now will not let us register because it is supposedly
registered on another computer. Of course, it was
installed on the same computer, just on a different
installation of the XP operating system.

How can we get Office registered so it will keep on
working beyond the 48 runs it has left?

When you activate the product, select the Telephone Activation option and
explain what happened. The MS technician will get you going again.

Have you tried using the 800 number? I had a similiar
situation and this was very painless and a lot quicker
than you would think.
