Office XP Remove or Repair

I cloned my old hard drive onto a new one and made it the primary drive. Now
when I open Word or any other Office app the installer runs for about a
minute and then a dialogue box pop's up saying that "The patch package could
not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access
it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows
installer patch package." I tried doing a repair but got the same result.

See if using the following utility works for you. Remove only the
reference to Office and once that is complete then you'll need to
reinstall Office to point the Windows Installer to your installation

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to remove Office but got the same error
message. How do I force Office's removal so it can be reinstalled. Thanks
again.

Office must be installed, not copied.
