Office XP Service Pack 3 Promlems

Hi
I have a friend that runs the student addition along with Access and
Publisher from Office XP. When installing Office XP Service Pack 3 it
request the original Office XP cd which he inserts and continues with the
update. However the update will not install.

Any ideas
