Since applying this service pack, existing documents and
templates do not dispaly embedded graphics such as
Company Logos and embedding equation objects returns an
error "Invalid embedded object".

Something similar to this was seen after installing Office XP SP-2. The
solution was to disable the Office Plug-in in Norton AntiVirus. Perhaps try
the same solution for this?
