Office XP startup slowly

Hi, I recently bought a 2nd hand desktop with Office XP
Pro installed.

I noticed that all the Office Application takes forever to
load, and a "Windows Installer" pops up, asking me to
insert the CD for Office.

Since the person who sold me the computer didn't give me a
disc, I just press cancel, and Office works fine
afterwards.

Is there anyway to stop Office from loading whatever it
did that make the Installer pop up? I suspect that is what
make the startup so slow.

The computer works fine otherwise.
