I have the exact same problem in Word and Excel, Visio. Haven't tried the
others.

I can't find the original question you've tagged your post to, so I just
have to ask -- did the original question receive any replies? If so, did you
try what was suggested in those replies?

Office XP isn't just one program, and it doesn't actually have any toolbars.
If you're not seeing your toolbar customizations in Word, Excel and Visio,
though, I'd suspect it's an issue with the "show toolbars on one row"
setting, as that allows less frequently used icons on those toolbars to be
hidden. If you click the downward-pointing arrow at the far right end of the
toolbar, you should see all the additional icons.

You can opt to "show buttons on two rows" when you click the arrow, and this
should force all the icons to show always. Or you can set this in
Tools/Customize on the Options tab ("show toolbars on two rows").

Hi Echo S!
I don't understand how come you can't see the original post (from
o2f13d50ek) since it is included in your own reply.

Anyway, for my own case, I am very experienced at using the Office products
and only had this problem since upgrading my computer.

I don't remember doing anything special during setup, but what I'm trying to
archive is to add some buttons in the default toolbar by right clicking in
the toolbar > > customize >> command>> "drag & drop" and it works no prob.

However, after closing the program and opening it later, none of the
customized items remain and I am back with the default toolbar again.

STOP --UPDATE--

I have just tried another option that seemed to fix the problem.
I have only briefly tried it but it seems to work so far with Word.

Follow the wizard instructions at
Programs >> Microsoft Office >> Microsoft Office Tools >> Microsoft Office
2003 Save My Settings Wizard

I saw only the part that you included in your reply -- which was in turn
then included in my reply to you. I can't see the original thread, though,
so I can't tell if the original question had received any responses.
Follow the wizard instructions at

Glad to hear that's working for you.
