Office XP vs. Office 2000 and Project 2002

I am in the process of building a business case for using
Office XP with Project 2002. What are the Project
functionalities that work with Office XP that don't work
with Office 2000?

Hi Lynn,

Basically, without Office XP, some of the advanced document features of
SharePoint Team Services will not work (or not work properly). You will not
be able to edit a document right from the website, save a document from Word
right to the website and basically collaborate on documents in a more
efficient manner.

Also, I understand from MS that if you want the capability to create/edit
Portfolio analyzer views you do need an Office XP license. However, I do
know that without OXP installed, you can still do this (I just think it is a
license thing). So... EPMS administrators, report writers and people that
want to dynamically modify pre-created reports should have an OXP license.

Hope this helps,

-Bill
