Office XP web component error

Hello:

I am trying to use the "Export to Microsoft Excel" button
in the Office web component (pivot table component) from
withing a web page.

I get the following error: Unable to export to installed
version of Microsoft excel. Export requires Excel 2000 or
higher.

Is it true that despite the installation of the Web
component and the Office XP license, I would still nedd
Office 2000 or higher?????

I am able to do all other pivot table manipulations.

Any help would be appreciated
