office xp won't print in vista

I installed office xp on my new computer which came with Vista home premium.
When I try to print from Excel or Word I get this message: Excel has stopped
working. Another message comes up that an update is available but when I
click on it an error message appears saying the link can't be found. Thanks
for any help.

Did you check the Office update web page to see if there were any required
updates you need to run Office XP under Vista?

Only Office 2003 and Office 2007 are supported on Vista. You may get
Office XP to work partially but it's not supported. I don't know what
the print problem might be but you'll have others as you go along,
Outlook XP has problems on Vista I know from sad experience....

The best fix is to upgrade to Office 2003 or Office 2007.
