Office XP Word and Outlook help required

I'm not sure what I've done, but when I open a new Word document or open a
new email, I always have text pasted in from a previous document that I
copied and pasted into something else. How do I get back to a blank page or
email?

Please tell me where i would find the normal.dot as I want to replace it. I
do not want just add-in templates. I want my macros autotext etc. But I
cannot find the normal.dot (it used to be in
Windows/AppData/Microsoft/Templates. Please help me. I will be ever grateful.
Thanks

The answer depends on: 1) what version of Word you have, and 2) what
version of Windows you have. In Word, click on Tools | Options | File
Locations. Your NORMAL.DOT template will be in the folder designated
for "User Templates". NORMAL.DOT is a hidden file is newer versions of
Word.
