I did a system restart and lost my access to microsoft office products. How
can I retrieve my key to re-establish? Is there another way to start office?

You mean a system restore? Please describe what you actually did and use
the correct terminology.(look at the title of what you clicked on) A
system "restart" only restarts the system as in a reboot, and will not
do what you describe.

A Windows system restore, "rolls" back the operating system to an
earlier period in time. That you may UNdo and return it to before. A
Factory system restore reloads the operating system from a hidden
partition or CD and you can't UNdo that. Which one did you do?

I didn't use a CD - my system went crazy so I pushed the function key to do a
restore. Now i can't use my microsoft office tools

What "function key" did you push? You mean on system bootup before
Windows loads where it says "Press Fx to Do a System Restore" or
something like that?

That's basically a factory restore. Some of them completely redo your
drive by the way - do you still have your documents and data?

Oh-Oh, that is the factory restore. How did Office get on the computer,
did you buy and install it after you bought the computer. or was it a
preinstall and you just had to activate?

F12 I beleive - I still have the office documents, but can't do anything to
them.
Outlook emails are not showing up at all.

Office came with the pc per a 60 day free trail - I activated it and have
been using for months.

In that case the restore should have placed the "60 day free trail" back
and you need to activate it again.

BTW please delete your "Hello world" Sigline, as all it does is prevent
proper quoting of the prior thread.

OK I will try it.
