When using the search utility within Office 2003 by using, from any office
program, File->Open->Tools->Search... you are given a screen with a Basic tab
and an Advance Tab. If you use the Advance tab, setup a filter, then choose
a location and a file type in the "Other Options" section, the file type is
ignored. It works if you manually input a wildcard such as *.xls or *.doc,
but if you select it in the options it will not apply the filter. It works
without problems if you do a Basic Search that way, but Advanced search
ignores your filters. Is there something I am missing? I have verified the
issue on multiple machines with Windows XP and Office 2003.
