Offline Project---Stuck!

A user attempted to put their Project Pro 2003 project back online and the
process stuck somewhere midstream.

Is there a way to recover from this and retain the user's changes?

Is there a way to recover from this at all?

yeah that is nasty :(
Not sure if this works, but it is woth a try. ( MAKE A DB BACKUP JUST IN
CASE!!!)
Log on ( as Administrator ) to project Professional. click open find and the
offline Project. Open the project in read only mode. Click Save as and try to
save the project as an mpp file. If this is successful, you will need to
delete the offline project which you should be able to do in PWA ( Admin
Manage enterprise Features). Then re-import the Project mpp file using the

Import Wizard in Project Professionals ( tools > Enterprise features).
See if you can re-import the project. It means that all changes done offline
are gone, but at least you can use the Project again. AGAIN PLEASE DO A DB
BACKUP, if it doesnt work, you can simply restore the old stage. It may be
worth a try.
